How It Started
I'm obsessed with getting better. But I realized the golf apps I was using weren't actually helping me lower my scores. They were either glorified scorecard holders or complicated spreadsheets that slowed down my pace of play. I wanted a tool that didn't just track scores, but actively improved my game. So, I built TheGimme. The rule was simple: play a round, spot a friction point, code the fix, and see if it works on the next tee box.
That loop hasn't changed. Today, our community is the ultimate co-pilot. When you tell us what's holding your game back, we listen. We build, test, and ship updates in days. The feedback loop is tight by design — every piece of input goes straight into the next iteration. We love the grind, and building the best tool for it is the whole point.

TheGimme started out of pure frustration. I wanted a way to track my handicap and map my strokes gained without clunky interfaces slowing down my foursome. I couldn't find it, so I built it. What began as a personal utility quickly grew as other players saw the value of a clean, hyper-focused tracker. Today, the core philosophy remains unchanged: build only what helps us play better golf.
